Sure, you can accuse Reid of supporting changes to campaign spending just to help Democrats get elected, but if the GOP is opposing it just because they have to take the opposite position on everything to appease their ever-shrinking partisan base, that’s the epitome of damaging partisanship.
With all due respect, if you think for one second that money equals speech or that somehow putting limits on how much money is spent in politics is somehow infringing on free speech, I submit to you that you are exactly what the rich and powerful want from us – not just compliant surrender, but blind and slavish obedience.
